In Between Moments at the Beach

How is it that the winter can seem so slow and then Spring and Summer go by in the blink of an eye? HECTIC but fun is the how I'd describe these past couple of months and we were living for the beach vacation we'd planned. However, it was bittersweet once we got to the trip, because Scott's mom, who was supposed to join us, couldn't make it due to a horrible backache. Just knowing she was in pain was the hardest part, but the joy in the boys' faces was contagious as well and they were overjoyed to say the least. Tyler is a beach-worshipper but I think he loves the "beach house" as much as the beach. Like me, he enjoys the adventure of relocating life for a little bit -- just breaking the normal routine. This post is just some photos that weren't really ON the beach or at the pool, so it seemed a natural grouping. We are looking forward to hopefully doing a make-up trip with Scott's mom this Fall.
