There's not much cuter than two little pals who have known and loved each other since they were born! Tyler's next door neighbor was out today when I walked out the door with my camera and I got a couple of shots -- much more needed, though!

Week in Pics
Boys and their Boxes -- and cute bottoms :)
Austin has gone from walking half the time to almost 90 percent of the time -- it's his favorite thing to do, and I'm loving every minute of watching him.
Got some fun new bubbles -- Austin didn't know what to make of them!
Tyler and his unique way of blowing bubbles with lots of spit -- it works!
So fun to see these two walk/run together.
Austin just grabbed Tyler's hand here -- it was a sweet moment -- they are very affectionate.
Lollipops, lollipops, lollipops -- he's obsessed
Here he's wearing his brownies

Had a playgroup with neighbors at a new location -- little Brayden here checking out this cool playground
Austin and the pinwheel
Puzzle mania on a playdate at Mandy's -- another highlight was the hilarious lunch that featured group applause after EVERY SINGLE person took a bite -- EVERY BITE! Lunch got eaten needless to say!
My sweet baby got his first battle wound from being mobile -- makes him look tough, huh? :-)

Special Sunday
But Scott and I laughed once we put out the spread and realized we'd left out the greens entirely! And I wonder why I struggle to get Tyler to eat veggies!
But the weather was awesome for enjoying the backyard and there was just something special in the air. It was a lovely, relaxed time, and the boys didn't know what to do with themselves having both of their favorite ladies there!

7 Years - 2 Babies - Countless Happy Memories
Sometimes I forget how lucky we are to have one of the area's best trails in our backyard. Yesterday was an awesome, hot day and we had a fun little hiking adventure before lunch. The day ended with a visit from grandma and a fun night out in Virginia Highlands with Scott to celebrate 7 years of marriage! I think these pictures speak to how blessed I am to have him as a husband -- he's such a good father. Happy Anniversary, Scott!

G.G.
This past Monday was a special day because the boys and I finally got to spend some time with G.G --- great grandma and the coolest lady on earth! Because of our very sick winter, we had not gotten together with her since Christmas. We also got the treat of seeing (great) Aunt Sheri who came loaded with thoughtful gifts as usual -- and actually the first the boys received this year for Easter. It was a quick but meaningful visit and I hope we can do it again soon. I do think it wore G.G. out pretty good though!
Family Time + Fish
With Scott off for 4 glorious days, it still took 3 to feel like we were getting things in order. As I've mentioned (like a broken, whining record), he's travelled every week for the past 8 weeks and last week seemed like the longest yet because he'd worked the weekend prior and we'd been hit with some sickness. But he's supposed to be having a break from that for a little bit, so when he called today and told me Monday-Wed he'd be traveling again, I almost cried ;-). I guess it worked, because he called back and said he would stay in town. Hee hee.
So, back to this past Tuesday -- it was a huge treat to have him for 4 days, and finally that last day, we were able to do something special with the boys. First, we went to Tyler's school for a regular parent-teacher conference, where Tyler got a GREAT report and showed us his skills at knowing the sounds for each letter, singing songs, reading a clock and more. It was especially cute because he was obviously so proud of himself. Austin had to get in on the action also and let the teachers know he could walk -- I was laughing at my little show-offs and of course bursting with pride.
Then we went to brunch and Tyler enjoyed a mountain of pancakes and Austin sat beautifully in the carrier to give us some nice peaceful time together. I was so grateful!
Finally, we went to the aquarium, where the boys really didn't last very long, but it was still a nice experience, and having season passes makes it easy to leave with out seeing every single thing. Tyler hadn't been for 6 months or so, and his reactions this time were even more fun -- I actually think last time he was equally impressed with doors and passage ways as he was fish! :-)
But this visit, he was a little boy full of absolute wonder.
