Soccer Star

Well, a star in our eyes. Tyler certainly looks the part and just delights us with his games. The first game he did a cartwheel between the plays, though he stopped after we told him it's not so appropriate to do that.  :) He's playing with some more experienced kids that really know their stuff, so he's not got a lot of ball time, but he is really in there and does get control sometimes. I take him out to play, and find myself falling in love with the sport as well. What a work out. I'm so glad we signed both the boys up this season!

Conversations in the Car (ages 3 & 5)

Just a morning car ride conversation on our way to school I know I'd forget if I didn't write it here (as we are passing a farm with sheep):

A: Can I have a sheep mommy?
T: I want to be a sheep.
T: No, I want to be a butterfly and a sheep.
A: Can I pick them up?
Me: No, they are pretty heavy.
T: Too heavy to pick up...I know--We can put them in our wagons! We have a few of them at home.
A: Yeah!
T: But we could only probably fit a couple in a wagon and we'd all have to pull.
Me: Where are we going to put them?
T: They can live in the grass!
A: I want them in my bed. I will show them how to sleep
Me: Sheep are probably pretty messy. Like little boys. :)
T: I'm not messy -- i'm FIVE!
Me: Well, you know how to clean up your messes.
T: Sheep sleep standing up like giraffes.
Me: I think they curl up like dogs probably.
A: Dogs don't talk.
T: Do sheep poop like dogs?
Me: Yes, everything poops.
T: Butterflies don't poop!
Me: Well we have caterpillar poop on our deck sometimes, so I bet they do when they turn into butterflies, too.
T: Oh, just little poops.
T: Giraffes have big poops.
A: Hippos do too.
Me: Elephants have the biggest poop.
T: (as we pull up) -- I'm going to tell the teacher I got a glow stick.
A: Me too
And off to school they go!
