Crazy Easter

I have so many sweet demure pics of the boys, but this is probably more accurate:)
Last year was called "beautiful Easter" and this one I'll call "crazy Easter." We had our plans change down to the last minute, once again thanks to sickness hitting our family -- locations changed, guests cancelled, Scott ended up grilling here for the grandmas, and then he came down with the sick bug by end of day. The boys were spoiled rotten by grandma, pumpkin and then Gigi and of course the Easter bunny. Instead of baskets, they got metal tins because they'd crushed one of their old ones -- my fault for leaving it in the playroom, though. While shopping for their baskets (the night before), I was looking for non-candy things to go along with the candy and found myself getting items I know they'd really love -- bandaids with characters, monster trucks, toothbrush, even underwear (which Austin was so proud of), and the bandaids were the biggest hit for Austin. These two really crack me up -- they are so excited about life and this year watching them hunt eggs it hit me that I have two boys -- no babies any more :(.  They are so very close and at the end of the day, I tried to put Austin to bed (neither had taken naps!) and Tyler helped sneak him out of his room to watch TV with us. Austin climbs in Tyler's lap on the chair and tells him he loves him so much. Tyler then hugs him and says it back -- my heart about fell through the floor. Just 2 pics here but many more to come of course :)

  1. I love seeing Tyler and Austin in these sweet, quiet, at home moments. The intimate details shared right here are impossible to see during the enthusiastic madness our six children conjure when together. Please kiss your little angels for me. I love them and miss them, dearly.
