Project Backyard

A few more random shots from our backyard, where we spent most of our summer having some major landscaping done (sod, wall, steps, fence, grading, etc) and where Scott planted at least a 100 plants and trees. The boys loved helping -- always trying to help dig and rake and actually being a big help with the watering once the trees where in. They thought it was a treat to participate and even enjoyed helping picking out the plants at our nursery trips. All the kids also have a tree named after them, which made Tyler and Austin very proud. Some of their other favorite backyard activities were playing in the sprinklers, chasing birds (literally asking them if they wanted to live in their bird houses they made with grandma), catching bugs, squirting each other with the hose, soccer and the swingset of course. It's been so hot that we haven't been back there as much lately, but I'm sure as soon as Fall's delicious coolness kicks in that we will be -- me with a couple of babies in my arms:).
