Cabin Fever is Contagious

There are many people celebrating their unexpected snow-cations this week with school being cancelled every day. But if your husband still has to work, a mom's job got harder, and I'm sure those of us in this situation are all feeling it by now.

Our week has been pretty fun in many ways, but today kicked off with a slight dose of cabin fever obviously affecting Tyler. He woke up emotional, very emotional, and has been overly expressive today -- if that can be called a condition. I mean, sometimes I think I gave birth to a wild animal, but then he expertly throws in moments of lucid sweetness and affection to calm my fears throughout the day.

In fact, he's singing an adorable "momma" song on the monitor as I write this -- I don't recognize the tune and think it might be a Tyler-original Ode to me. I take back the wild animal comment. :-)

Earlier, Tyler's condition did rub off on me and I found myself feeling a little grumpy, but running on the treadmill and then eating the amount of calories I burned (times 5) really helped!

Scott has been working almost more this week it seems (sometimes I wonder if it's optional -- ha!) and he escaped to Walmart yesterday and plans to venture to work tomorrow.

Also today, we had our 5th or 6th playdate this week with our neighbors, which has been a great by-product of the snow. Tyler and his best little bud have had lots of reuniting time after sickness/holidays/travel kept them a part for quite a bit.

And there's nothing like fellow mom/friends to help you get through the day...

Austin has crawl-fever not cabin fever -- little man is finally giving in to moving on his belly (and pushing up/rocking) and this pic shows him "army crawling" his way to the kitchen. He's still not thrilled with the work, but doing it!

Our early morning -- don't these boys look thrilled! ;-)

Austin was a bright little light as usual.

Cabin fever is one thing infants are immune to thank goodness
