I've written before about how important it is to me that the boys love and appreciate each other now and especially as they get older. As I tried to think of yet another thing to take a pic of in our home for my photo project, I realized I hadn't gotten them together in a photo in awhile, so we did about a 5 minute "session" during which I bribed Tyler to hug his brother in exchange for a cookie!
I got a few hugs out of him, but more tackling and silliness than anything. The reality is that Tyler adores Austin, asks for him when he gets up, screams with glee upon seeing him after school, lets Austin chase him around the kitchen (crawling with him), holds his hand to help Austin to walk, amazingly shares his toys (most of the time), and already has a built in best friend in this wise little 9 month old. Austin studies everything Tyler does and tries to model him -- I even saw him try to stack something today after Tyler did and I now realize why the second child can develop so fast!
They communicate constantly with each other, too, in that they sing and model and smile and laugh so much -- it brings such light into our lives.

It sounds like these boys are already the best of friends!!! Their love for one another is only going to continue to grow as they get older. One of my favorite things is seeing my girls love each other and play so well together. Nothing better!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your pictures! You are really SO talented! That picture of the boys standing together is very sweet. I forget how close in age they are and how much fun they will continue to have together! It's those sweet little moments that make all the hard work worth it!
