| I was trying to get a shot of Austin's ear to do something for my photo project, and of course all the sudden he wants to look at the camera (even mid-bottle here). |
I don't even know what to say about today. I was up much of the night with Austin and came to find out at the doc that one of his ear drums had burst and the other was blistery infected. This is just after taking him on Tuesday, when he received a bill of good health! Our next visit is to an Ear/Nose/Throat specialist and he is now on more antibiotics plus ear drops, plus ibuprofen -- it is ridiculous and I hate it for him!
Fortunately, the doc told me I could increase his Ibuprofen dosage and he was acting like himself again this afternoon -- chasing after Tyler and getting into anything and everything, which gave me a glimpse of my future with 2 boys.
I turned my back for one second and there they both were trying to play with the soot in the fireplace. Austin doesn't just run in his walker -- he takes flight -- and now Tyler is riding on the back of the waker as Austin goes forward (or trying to before I stop him).
Later, I finally had a chill moment with Tyler watching TV as Austin did his laps in his walker and the next thing I know, Austin ripped a farm animals poster off the wall started chewing and running with it happily.
I have a video I'll try to post that illustrates this craziness that just goes along with having boys I guess. I love it, though, and can fully embrace my fate as a mom of boys.

I sure hope Austin feels better this weekend and the next drs appt goes well! You have the most beautiful boys and you can take some pictures! We have to plan a playdate and I promise I won't ask you to take any of those amazing pictures! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteSorry Austin is going through all that. We go to Pediatric Ear, Nose, & Throat of Atlanta for C's stuff and I know people who have used them for ear and tongue tied issues as well. They're a good practice, and they have several locations including one of Cobb pkwy.
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is a lot more relaxed and Austin is feeling better soon. Let us know if you're ever up to getting together when things calm down. Sending prayers and love!
Thanks so much, Tiara -- I'd love to get together and I'd welcome any chance to get my camera on your gorgeous babies! I can't say I'd be any good with it -- it's much easier when you have the subjects 24/7 -- but I'm pretty obsessed with taking pics these days.
ReplyDeleteLura -- thanks for the recommendation and I think that's where our doc referred us as well. I think they might consider tubes and very much appreciate the prayers. Austin had a great day, fortunately. When things are all well, I'd love to see you and the kids, too.
