It's so hard dropping the little love of your life off at school, but Tyler really does make it easy at this new place. I've yet to see a single tear, which he gave with characteristic passion at the other place a few times. I think the consistency here is helping him.He can act so grown-up and sweet and I feel like he "gets things" in a whole new way lately. But I'm a little upset, because his teacher said he threw up at lunch after shoving too much food in his mouth when she told him he had to finish his sandwich.
That's just not like him -- well, the shoving food in his mouth part is -- but I hate the idea of that happening when I'm not there. She said he went on like nothing happened so I'm sure it's upsetting me much more than it did him.
Sending your child to school is the first step in letting them out into the world it seems. It's a strange feeling for him not to be in the house with me, but I know that the time he spends there feeds his mind and helps him grow. He is so happy when he gets in the car after school and seems invigorated.
I just hate that he had that moment, today, and hope that the rest of the week brings only happy reports.
I think this might have been the first time they were swinging together -- there was lots of laughter but I liked this shot of them looking opposite ways.
Inhaling a flower
Another first -- Austin getting a good look at a flower -- he wanted to eat it, of course! ;-)
Poor little guy! I think it's only normal as a mother to be upset if something like that happens. Hopefully it was an isolated thing and won't happen again.
