Baby Ballerina

Baby ballerina -- still wet from her bath. My photos are always so unplanned so nothing is ever quite perfect, like dry hair, but I'm just thankful to find the energy to pick up the camera in between the chasing and cleaning that is my day right now. This baby girl has so many dimensions already and I can see the female complexity begins at a young age. She's very nurturing in one moment, and then fiercely jealous in the next, showing her feelings as I would expect a two year old to do, even though she's just turning 16 months. I adore her and there are so many moments with her that I just don't have captured, like tonight when we just kept smiling at each other as I rocked her to sleep (or tried too). If she finds out something makes you laugh, she'll keep doing it, showing a very early sense of humor that reminds me of Austin's and her curious nature reminds me of him too. She would stay up to midnight if I let her, and even at naptime today she was insisting on sitting up as she was nodding off, holding her baby doll in her lap, and finally giving into sleep on her belly. I let her wander around a parking lot today, and I don't even know if she cares where she's going -- only that she's getting to be in control of where she's going. And she comes by that need honestly too :). My baby girl will love dance, I'm pretty sure, since she likes music already. I couldn't not buy this little dance dress at Gap and I'm sure it's one of many she'll have.
