Backyard Bliss

We're spending more time in the backyard and I imagine it will be the extent of my world through the next year at least. The babies are at that age where playgrounds are still a little big, and I'm not sure I could keep two safe as they venture up ladders and ledges. So here we are perfectly contained and happy to have playdates and visitors almost daily. The pool safety fence was the best investment we made as it gives me some peace of mind, but I hadn't thought about the danger of the babies getting jumped on if they go under the trampoline while the boys are jumping -- guess it's always something! The babies are in backyard bliss just to get out and I need it too. I remember these afternoons with Tyler and Austin, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Scott though it was often way after dinnertime when he'd get home. With the start of his new job next week, our days will look more like that, although I have hired a super sweet sitter to help me get through the hectic evenings on three nights of the week. We are feeling grateful for all we have to enjoy in our little corner and counting down the days til Spring!
