Tree Farm
I've had a hard time making myself even cull these photos and I think it's because they bring back the frenzied exhaustion I was feeling at the time we took them. It was bad timing to go to the tree farm after breakfast with Santa, but our weekend was packed full and that was the only time that made sense. A thirty minute drive out into the country didn't sound so bad, but once we got there, we discovered that the farm had been picked over with nothing left to buy! This was the weekend after Thanksgiving, so still early but I wonder if tree farms are getting more popular with each year. I wanted to get some pics to show we tried so we did a walk around the property, that was dizzying at best, with the twins running in both directions (after we'd just spent all morning chasing them waiting for santa). We had to leave and go find a tree at another place after that, so it didn't get decorated that day. One of the reason I have so many pics is for my own memory. Some weeks even months just are a haze and I think I'd only remember being tired and not any of the details these pics provide. We will go to a different tree farm next year and earlier for sure!
